Multan: Girls established complete hegemony on position table in BA/BSc Annual Examination, 2013 held by Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) as the boys could not win even a single position.
Hafiza Nayab Aisha, Roll No-43897 of a private college, stood overall first with 709 marks while Samia Bakhtawar of the same college, Roll No-43947, clinched second position with 707 marks and Yasmeen Iqbal, Roll No-42760 of Government College for Women Vehari, was declared third. She obtained 695 marks. The result was declared by the Controller of Examination Dr Muhammad Farooq who told the journalists that a total of 45373 out of which 17829 were declared successful. The overall success ratio in this examination stood at 39.29 per cent. The examination commenced on April 18 and continued till May 8. BSC GROUP: All the three top positions in this group was won by the above mentioned three overall top position holders. As many as 10636 candidates appeared in the examination under this group and 5381 were declared successful with an overall success ratio of 50.59 per cent. A total of 2308 candidates in this group passed examination in first division, 2560 second and 364 third.
BA GROUP: All the three positions in this group were taken away by the students of state-run colleges. Nida Anbreen of Government College for Women Jalal Pur Pirwala, Roll No-4491, stood first with 638 marks, Ayesha Anum of Government College Shah Rukan-e-Alam Colony, Multan, Roll No-9135, was declared second with 625 marks and Asia Batool of Government College for Women Jalal Pur Pirwala, Roll No-4496, third with 624 marks. The statistical data showed that a total of 34737 candidates appeared in the examination under this group out of which 12448 got through. As many as 4874 candidates passed examination in first division, 7104 second and 402 third.
UFMs: The examination department of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) registered a total of 26 unfair means cases during the BA/BSc Annual Examination, 2013. University sources said that as many as 10 cases were decided while the remaining 16 were still under trial.
