Facts & Statistics
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
- Don't park under trees. There is a disgustingly large bird population.
- If you're driving to class, leave at least one hour early to get parking.
- Join an organization to make the school feel smaller.
- Many departments don't give students options on who they prefer as a professor.
- Only join one or two organizations. It's not like high school, where you can do everything and still make good grades.
- Remember to bring a Scantron to class on test days.
- Women don't carry purses to class.
Interviews & Information Sessions
Call the Visitor Center at (979) 845-5851 to schedule an appointment and
get more information. You can also e-mail them at vis-cntr@tamu.edu.
Campus Tours
Call the Visitor Center at (979) 845-5851 at least two weeks before you
would like to visit to schedule an appointment. Tours are not held on
weekends but are held several times a day during each weekday. The exact
times vary depending on the time of year, but to check out when tours
are running in the next couple months, go to
communications.tamu.edu/visitors/walking-tours.shtml.
Overnight Visits
The only overnight visit the school offers is "Spend the Night with the
Corps," a program for students interested in joining the Corps of
Cadets. In this program, the prospective students get to participate in
all Corps activities, sleep in the Corps dorm, go to an application
workshop, and experience college life. For more information or to sign
up for the program,
