Quaid-e-Awam
University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah is a
public sector university recognized by the Higher Education
Commission, Islamabad and accredited with Pakistan Engineering
Council.
Applications
are invited on the prescribed forms from eligible candidates
domiciled in the province of Sindh for admission in Quaid-e-Awam
University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah /
Constituent Engineering College Larkano to the First Year of
Bachelor’s degree (four year) full time courses in the following
disciplines under Regular and Self-Finance Scheme.
Candidates having domicile of other provinces of Pakistan can apply under Self-Finance scheme only against reserved quota. |
BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (BE)

i) Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University (min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
ii) Candidates who have passed the
qualifying examination as mentioned above in Annual Examination 2013
or prior upto Annual examination 2010 are only eligible to apply for
admission.
iii) Candidates having passed Diploma of
Associate Engineer in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical from
S.B.T.E. and having domicile of former Sukkur and Larkano Divisions
and District Shaheed Benazir Abad (Nawabshah) can also apply against
reserved seats in relevant fields (min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
iv) Candidates who have passed Diploma
of Associate Engineer in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronic
from Technical Boards other than Sindh Province can apply on
Self finance Scheme only against reserved seats.
NOTE: Candidates who have passed SSC-II Annual examination before 2008 are not eligible for admission.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BS)

i) Candidates having passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, General Science with Mathematics and Pre-Medical) with (min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
ii) Candidates having passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, General Science with Mathematics) with (min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran). OR Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University (min. 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
iii) Candidates who have passed the
qualifying examination as mentioned above in Annual Examination 2013
or prior upto Annual examination 2010 are only eligible to apply for
admission.

All eligible
candidates who are desirous of seeking admission to any of the B.E. /
BS Programme at Quaid-e-Awam University / Constituent Engineering
College Larkano will be required to appear in an MCQ type (written)
pre-admission test and obtain minimum score of + 40 percent marks. Model paper of such test and other relevant information are incorporated in the Prospectus.

Pre-admission test will be held on Sunday, 10th November, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at QUEST Campus, Nawabshah Distt. Shaheed Benazirabad, Sindh Pakistan.

Application
forms for admission alongwith Prospectus can be obtained from
following designated branches of Habib Bank Limited during working
hours from 02.09.2013 to 28.09.2013 on payment of Rs.1800/- only [(includes Pre-Admission Test Fee).

Application
form alongwith Prospectus can also be obtained through post / courier
from the Admission office after a written request is made
accompanied by Bank Draft of Rs.1800- (including courier charges) in favour of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah alongwith a self addressed large envelope (size 11” x 15”). OR may be downloaded from University website (www.quest.edu.pk)
and same be submitted alongwith Bank draft of Rs. 1800/- (including
Courier charges) in favour of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah.
Downloaded form should be sent directly to the University by the
applicant.
Application form duly completed in all respects and accompanied by attested Photostat copies of the required documents must be submitted with the same branch of Habib Bank of Limited from which application form was purchased upto 01.10.2013. or be sent by mail (if form was down loaded from website) under registered cover to reach the Admission office latest by 01.10.2013. In case of application under self-finance the Bank Demand Draft (original) of requisite Admission fee for Engineering Course of Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Thousand only) in favour of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah be submitted with the application form. However, in case of admission in BS (Information Technology & Computer of Science) courses under self-finance scheme, Rs.200,000/-(Rupees Two Hundred Thousand only) and for BS(Mathematics & Statistics) programme the admission fee is Rs.100000/- (Rupees One Hundred Thousand only)/- may be submitted alongwith application form. No application form under Self Finance will be considered without original Bank Demand Draft of the required Self Finance Fee. Eligible candidates from abroad can apply for admission on Self Finance basis against the payment of US$ 7000/= in favour of Director Finance of this University subject to the clearance from Government of Pakistan. |
Admit cards/ slips for the Pre-admission test will be sent through courier upto 26.10.2013. If any candidate do not receive his/her admit card by 26.10.2013, he/she must contact with the Admission Office. The duplicate slips will be issued from 06.11.2013 to 10.11.2013 on payment of Rs.300/- each. The candidates are required to report for the test latest by 09:00 a.m. on the date and venue of the pre-admission test.

→ Pre-Admission Test will be conducted on Sunday 10.11.2013.
→ The test result will be displayed on notice board of the university and on website on Sunday evening 10.11.2013. → Any claim for recounting of pre-admission test result will be entertained latest by 13.11.2013 for which a separate fee of Rs.1000/- will be charged alongwith written application. → Preliminary / Provisional net merit list will be issued on 15.11.2013 (for observation of the candidates). |
→ Any claim of correction in Preliminary / Provisional net merit list will be entertained upto 20.11.2013
→ Submission of original documents and Interview will be conducted on 25.11.2013 to 30.11.2013 as per schedule at Directorate of Post Graduate Building of the University. → Classes of 14-Batch will start on 13.01.2014 → Prior to the classes, preliminary lectures of Mathematics for BS(CS) pre-medical students will be conducted for four weeks. Separate schedule will be announced by the coordinator BS(CS). |
