My advice to prospective students is to just give your best in whatever you're involved in. Don't try to get away with the easy way out, because that won't fly here. Another piece of advice is to study. Yes, it sounds cliché, but it's definitely necessary to do well in college. Studying was never something I had to do that much of to get by in high school, but it's important for me to do it now that I'm here in college.

Start working on your studying habits and expect to spend a majority of your time studying or doing homework. For every hour of class there should be at least an hour of study time. However, allow yourself freetime or you're going to feel overwhelmed.

If you're coming from high school, make sure you study and that you know how to study collectively. Most test are over many chapters at a time, so it's easier if you start earlier. Also, make sure you're okay with traditions that may not make any sense at all, if you're going to make fun of them, then this is not the place for you because the traditions here are highly respected by everyone.

Handle your work first and have fun later. Study often and make sure you do what it takes to learn the material. Be prepared for detailed exam questions.
