Higher Secondary School Certificate

AKU-EB's Grade XI and XII syllabuses were introduced in 2007 and have been in full implementation since 2008. The Higher Secondary School Certificate is awarded to students at the end of Grade XII.
HSSC is assessed in the same way as the Secondary School Certificate, with students sitting for examinations at the end of each grade i.e. Grade XI and XII.
Based on the National Curriculum of Pakistan, AKU-EB's HSSC syllabuses are designed to increase students' knowledge and skills in their chosen subject areas and provide an excellent progression to further study. To ensure that they are both relevant and current, HSSC syllabuses are developed with an emphasis on both applied and conceptual learning. Students are offered a total of 23 subjects in different groups.
AKU-EB's secondary and higher secondary qualifications can be offered individually by schools, however, a growing number of schools offer them as part of a continuum to other AKU-EB qualifications.
To view the list of subjects we offer please visit the syllabus section of this website.
