KARACHI: Nations get prominent status on the basis of scientific research and technology in the world, said Rector Bahria Medical and Dental College (BMDC), Karachi Vice Admiral (r) Muhammad Haroon. Haroon said scientific research was need of the hour, adding, research was on top of the list in priorities of Bahria University. Haroon was addressing a ceremony of publication of Scientific Journal of BMDC here on Sunday. Hailing the editorial board on bringing out the journal, he said the varsity would continue its cooperation on creative and research activities on the same pattern. On the occasion, Principal BMDC Dr Tipu Sultan said scientific journal was need of the hour because it can play a significant role in bringing youth towards research. Editor Scientific Journal Prof Dr Mukhtar Baig shed lights on the objectives of the journal and said it was a good addition to journals currently being published in Pakistan. Baig said articles on basic clinical sciences and medical education would be published in the journal. The ceremony attended by all directors of Karachi campus, deans, faculty members, faculty members of PNS Shifa Hospital and a large number of students.Daily Times.
