In 1989, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Dera Ghazi Khan was setup for the conduction of matric and inter exams for all the divisions which come under its control. The board is working hard to improve the quality of education across the district and provides educational facilities to its aspirants. It conducts the exams in a crystal clear environment. Since the time of its establishment the board is holding Dera Ghazi Khan, rajan Pur, Layyah and Muzaffar Gharh. The board is also responsible to conduct the in time exams for the classes of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th and announcement of result for these classes. The annual exams of 9t and 10t class generally conducted in the month of March and the board published its result in July or August each year.
